What is the Women’s Caucus?

 

The Women’s Caucus is a state organization affiliated with the NJASA.  The affiliation was commissioned by the Executive Director in June, 2006 and approved by the Executive Board in June 2006.  As a member of the NJASA, you are eligible to belong to the Women’s Caucus.  Non-members can join the NJASA Women’s Caucus as an Associate member of the Association.

 

What are the benefits of membership in the Women’s Caucus?

 

As a member of the Women’s Caucus, you are provided:

 

  • Annual state meetings
  • Informal regional meetings
  • Training and networking opportunities
  • Annual membership list
  • A bank of resources for professional assistance

What are the purpose and goals of the Women’s Caucus of NJASA?

 

Purpose:  To support the work of women in educational leadership.

 

Goals:            

 

  1. To develop a network among women in or aspiring to positions in educational leadership
  2. To inspire women to pursue positions of educational leadership
  3. To build capacity of women in educational leadership
  4. To promote gender, race and ethnic equity within educational systems
