Research Publications Subscription Program

NJASA's Research Publication Program

As a school administrator, you work in a maze of complex statutes and regulations developed by the state and federal governments. In your position, you must know of changes in the statutes and code, and keep informed of how these laws are interpreted by the Commissioner, PERC and the courts. The NJASA Legal Research Publications Program will help you do this.

The Program consists of four of the following sample publications:

      • Administrative Guide (12 monthly issues)
      • School News Brief (12 monthly issues)
      • Impact on Negotiations (6 bi-monthly issues)
      • Special Education Bulletin (6 bi-monthly issues)
      • You will also receive a binder for storing your publications.

In addition to keeping you informed, these publications emphasize New Jersey law; inform you of federal law that affects you and your districts; bring you up-to-date PERC and Commissioner decisions; and, summarize important state and federal cases relative to special education. The monthly issues are practical, easy to read and easy to use. You will benefit tremendously from subscribing to this Program which will enable you, your staff and your board attorneys to stay on top of developments in school law.

Add these publications to your reference library in either an electronic or printed format. The subscription year runs from July through June.

P.S.   Our Legal Handbook for New Jersey School Administrators, written by NJASA's legal staff in conjunction with OMNI Publishers, is a good companion to this Program. The handbook is a concise summary of many of the legal issues facing administrators. If you would like an order form for the handbook, please call Ann at 609-599-2900 ext. 118.
