Committee Structure – The Chairperson of the Special Education Committee is appointed by the NJASA President. The committee consists of superintendent and non-superintendent representatives from each county.
Committee Role and Responsibilities – The Special Education Committee members review, analyze, and comment on proposed special education regulations and review special education concerns that impact on the administration of public education.
Meetings – The Committee shall meet as needed throughout the year on a schedule developed by the NJASA Director of Professional Development in consultation with the chairperson.
