As the monumental job of recovery from Hurricane Sandy continues, the members of NJASA and AXA Equitable’s dedicated employees and financial professionals are joining forces to provide assistance to school districts across New Jersey.

NJASA and AXA Equitable are taking several actions to provide much needed support to the New Jersey educational community. We will be channeling assistance to the New Jersey districts with DonorsChoose.org, an non-profit organization. A special section of their website for schools impacted by Super-storm Sandy has been created. www.donorschoose.org/sandy.

Their organization engages the public in public schools by giving people a simple, accountable and personal way to address educational inequity. They also envision a nation where children in every community have the tools and experiences needed for an excellent education.

As an online charity, it is easy for anyone to help students in need. Public school leaders and teachers from every corner of New Jersey can post classroom project requests on the DonorsChoose’s site, and donors  can give any amount to the project that most inspires them. When a project reaches its funding goal, the materials are shipped to the school. Donors will get photos of the project taking place, a letter from the teacher, and insight into how every dollar was spent.

NJASA and AXA Equitable are proud to offer assistance to all the victims of Sandy.
