Hot legal issues school administrators must address with respect to students. Ms. Finkelstein and Ms. Machado will review recent case law surrounding the rights of LGBTQ students and a school district’s responsibilities. In addition, legal updates regarding Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB), in the context of determining borderline cases of HIB, appeals to the board level, discipline and special education students.
