  • Supporting Women in Educational Leadership

On behalf of our law firm, DiFrancesco, Bateman, Kunzman, Davis, Lehrer & Flaum, P.C., we write to extoll the many benefits of our partnership with the New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA).

NJASA has always been a trailblazer in representing the complex needs of its members, particularly as it relates to the ultimate goal of providing all children with a quality education. Now, NJASA continues to stand at the forefront of advocating for children by initiating programs supporting women in educational leadership positions.

NJASA’s recent first annual Regional Women’s Educational Leadership Forum and Breakfast epitomizes its commitment to advocating for all of its members. The event took place on November 22, 2019, and presented compelling speakers who articulated the forum’s theme, “Women’s Health:  Nurturing Your Mind, Body & Personal Energy!” A rapt, large audience at the Westwood in Garwood, New Jersey, heard from Nurse Navigator, Carol Boyer, Surgical Oncologist, Dr. Diana Addis, Surgeon, Dr. Alison Price, and Certified Integrative Health Coach, Gina Roof.

Each speaker provided the attendees with poignant and provocative takeaways regarding critical women’s health issues. The conversations among attendees after the program was evidence of how many chords it struck in the minds and hearts of all who participated. Just as importantly, however, was the fact that the event gave all the opportunity for New Jersey’s finest women leaders to meet, become reacquainted, and generally enjoy one another’s company.

DiFrancesco Bateman had the privilege of providing Gold Sponsorship support for this meaningful event, as well as offering over a dozen scholarships for attendees. We can attest to the fact that this inaugural event mesmerized all who attended and gave us all much to think about regarding women’s health issues.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that NJASA would provide the impetus to remind its members that if we are to provide our children with the teaching and learning they deserve, we must take care of ourselves first. We at DiFrancesco Bateman consider it a true honor to partner with an organization with such sensitivity and commitment towards its members.

We are also pleased to report that the Women’s Educational Leadership Forum Breakfast is one of many NJASA initiatives that DiFrancesco Bateman has had the pleasure to support. For example, we look forward to the third annual Women’s Educational Leadership Forum Luncheon in February 2020 – another dynamic and relevant program that has also linked our firm with NJASA.

Over the years, DiFrancesco Bateman has also had the honor and privilege of partnering with NJASA by presenting at many of its programs: NJASA Superintendent’s Institute, NJASA Legal Series, and NJASA’s TECHSPO. We can faithfully report that each and every such experience in partnering with NJASA has resulted in our own professional growth, expanded our network of important professional contacts, and, given the extraordinary climate and culture of NJASA, been just plain fun!

We at DiFrancesco Bateman thank NJASA for the many opportunities to grow our partnership. We look forward to supporting future NJASA programs and urge members to take advantage of NJASA’s wealth of innovative and meaningful initiatives. Our children are looking forward to benefiting from our efforts!
