Community Education Programming
For over two decades the West Windsor – Plainsboro (WW-P) Regional School District has offered a Community Education Program which offers before and after school programs, to enrichment programs for children and adults. Community Education operates as an enterprise fund but do so with the support and cooperation of the district administration and staff, Board of Education, transportation department, custodial and maintenance staff, and the communities of West Windsor and Plainsboro. It is this support and cooperation of our greater community that allows us to create innovative and responsive programs for our greater West Windsor and Plainsboro communities. We believe that by working together we can provide opportunities for the healthy development of young children and for the continuing education and enjoyment of community residents.
These partnerships allows the school district to offer meaningful programs that serve our greater school community, while also serving as a revenue generator for the school district. Our program brochure here. Examples of our 2023 – 2024 programming include:
WW-P Community Education’s Extended Day Program (EDP)
WW-P Community Education is offering EDP care (before and after school care) to WW-P students in grades kindergarten through 5 and after care to students in middle school. Registration is available at each school until capacity limits have been reached. For more information on EDP pricing and procedures, check out the EDP General Information document. Mini Explorers
With the 23-24 offering of full-day Kindergarten, WW-P Community Education is excited to announce an offering of Mini Explorers Program for four-year-olds. This program is open to students who reside in West Windsor and Plainsboro who turn four on or before Oct. 1 of this school year. Students will follow a daily schedule designed and taught by WW-P Community Education staff members. Time each day will be spent on activity centers, reading, art and movement. This program is offered independently of our Integrated Pre-School program.
Fall After School Enrichment Registration
After school enrichment programs are open for registration to students in grades 1 through 5. Enrichment programs will begin the week of Oct. 16 at all elementary schools. Registration is currently open and will close once the program has reached capacity.
Saturday Youth Programs
Community Education runs youth programs on Saturday’s. The fall program guide here for your review.
Adult Programs
Community Education not only offers youth programs but programs for our adult community members such as CPR and First Aid, Stress Reduction, retirement planning, etc.
PSAT & SAT Prep Class
In-person PSAT & SAT review classes are available through outside providers.
*NEW* Lifeguard Certification Class
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training classes will teach skills in surveillance, emergency recognition, and skills that can help save a life! Students will learn water rescues, First Aid, CPR/AED skills, collaboration skills, and much more! In addition to our in-person training.
*Students must be present for all hours.
