eduportal  NJASA Announces New Initiative for Districts to Save Big by Going Paperless

Dr. Richard Bozza, Executive Director of the New Jersey Association of School Administrators, is available to comment on how school districts can save big by going paperless with EduPortal® e-Convene service.

TRENTON, NJ.  August 7, 2012….The New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA) today announced an initiative to help school districts in the state reduce non-instructional operating costs by using paperless meeting technology. Citing the need to reduce costs for hundreds of recurring school district meetings including school board, cabinet and department meetings, NJASA announced the new EduPortal® e-Convene online service (www.eduportal.com/njasa), which is now available to NJ school districts for a low subscription cost to its members.

Dr. Richard Bozza, Executive Director of NJASA said, “Through the use of the new EduPortal® e-Convene service, New Jersey school districts will be able to reduce the time it takes to prepare agendas, eliminate paper meeting packets, and substantially decrease their annual costs to prepare and execute meetings.”

To kick off the partnership, NJASA is excited to offer a free 60-day trial to its members.  A typical school district using EduPortal e-Convene saves thousands of dollars annually.

EduPortal e-Convene allows school districts to easily create meeting agendas, distribute paperless meeting packets, record meeting minutes, and share documents for all types of meetings including board meetings, cabinet meetings, departmental meetings, among others.

The EduPortal e-Convene system allows district administrators to upload, organize and search agendas, meeting minutes, archives, policies and supporting documents in seconds. EduPortal e-Convene is cloud-based and is iPad/tablet compatible.

Free 60-day trial subscriptions are available to all NJ school districts by contacting the developer of the service, TransACT Communications, Inc. To sign up for a free trial subscription, school districts should contact Phillip Smith at (425) 977-2120 or go to www.eduportal.com/trial60.
