Great Schools of New Jersey is an association of high needs school districts organized to provide a forum for the discussion about and promotion of quality education for high needs students. Membership includes superintendents of high needs school districts in New Jersey and associate members dedicated to quality education in the state.

Great Schools of New Jersey is organized to increase professional knowledge, to speak on behalf of their students and to learn from their colleagues.

TO INCREASE PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE

The Association informs its members of research having practical application for educational improvement in high needs settings.

TO SPEAK FOR HIGH NEEDS DISTRICTS

The Association develops and advocates positions to enhance quality education for all students in high needs school districts, including policy issues of particular import to these districts.

TO LEARN FROM COLLEAGUES

The Association fosters professional development among its members through collegiality and promotion of best practices.
